Week 25 - 6 months!!
Hey guys! This week we had zone conference again! Zone Conference was pretty awesome, it's always great seeing all the missionaries in the zone. President Carr was super impressed by the videos I made for the ESL page! I think he'll probably send me to work on the @HopeAheadCentralCanada page next, which would be super awesome! They recently re-branded the page which is exciting.

Zone Conference aside, I think I failed to mention Bigg Smoak in my previous emails. What is Bigg Smoak? It's a BBQ place In Steinbach that's won a ton of awards and competitions! Why do I bring it up? Well for one, it's delicious. Also, I've been 3 times now. The Purnell's took us once while they were in town for housing inspections, we went on our own, and I went with Elder Swartzberg while we were on an exchange. One thing we've discovered, they have an item called the "Bigg Poutine." It's about 2 pounds of poutine loaded with brisket, bacon bits, grilled onion, and a bunch of other BBQ things I can't remember. It's absolutely massive, if you get a to go box you can split it into 3 meals worth, and it only costs 15 bucks. It's a pretty good deal for a lot of very unhealthy but very tasty food. Don't worry, I got lots of veggies while grocery shopping today, we're not living off of poutine.

As for today, we went to Festival du Voyageur! I didn't really know what it was going into it, but it was cool! There were huge snow sculptures, really good poutine, amazing live music, maple syrup on a stick, axe throwing, and lots of cool exhibits about native history and what not! We had a blast, and afterwards I played a game of Magic: The Gathering Commander with a couple other Elders which was also very fun. We didn't have time to finish the game, but I got a deck called "painbow" that was really funny to play with.

Oh and an update on Mohammed and his baptism, we unfortunately had to push it back. It's still going to happen! We just don't know when yet. Also, the Book of Mormon speed reader I mentioned? We might meet with her tomorrow!
Last but not least, two days from today is my 6 months mark! It's absolutely nuts that I'm already 25% of the way done with the mission. It's been amazing so far and I excited to see what's next! It's a great day to be a missionary!
