Week 28 - I Cut a Hole in my Guitar…

Heya! Sorry I forgot to post last week; a ton happened so I guess this post might be a bit longer than normal 😅

I'll try to condense it a bit though. Last week was pretty awesome! You're probably wondering why I cut a hole in my guitar. Well… I used the wood to make this pick!

Pretty cool right??...

I'm just kidding of course. I actually put an equalizer and pickup in my guitar! The pick is just a fun bonus. In case you don't know what that means: we turned my guitar into an acoustic-electric guitar. So I can play it normally, but I can also plug it into an amp or audio interface! I also got a nifty little audio interface that fits nicely in my guitar case! So now I can record high quality guitar tracks!

We also had an awesome youth activity where we made tip-ups for ice fishing! We're planning to all go ice fishing sometime this month which is super exciting! I made Sister Angell's Dutch Buttercake recipe to bring to the youth activity and it was a big hit!

The last big thing from last week was that one of our members is from Mexico, and she made the best tacos I have had in a long time. She made homemade tortillas and everything! I almost cried eating them 😂😅

As for this week, we did a lot of online stuff. We had 3 TLC meetings, an ESL meeting and president had us give a presentation to the entire mission during a Sunday night devotional. Busy busy busy! It's been good though, and ESL is popping off like crazy! Our Facebook page is skyrocketing, and all the in-person classes have doubled in size!! We're also working on making pass along cards and stickers! ESL is so cool. Idk if I already talked about it, but we also offer 1 on 1 mentoring for ESL. There's 2 people that me and Elder Sylvester are mentoring, and both of them are so awesome. Amber has started attending church, and she's considering baptism! And Tim is reading from the Book of Mormon and wants to start attending church once he gets a new job! It's amazing seeing how much both improving their English and growing their testimonies of Jesus Christ has improved both of their lives. I feel like every time we see them, they're even happier than the last time! It's so cool.

It's a great day to be a missionary!
