Week 75 - I get a Grandson!!
Hey!! In case you didn't know, part of missionary lingo is referring to trainers and trainees as if they were of biological lineage. So Elder Mendenhall (my trainer) is my dad, and Elder Nielson (my trainee) is my son. Elder Mendenhall is Elder Nielsen's Grandpa, and Elder Nielson is Elder Mendenhall's Grandson. Make sense? Good. We got transfer news today, and Elder Nielson is going to train a new missionary this transfer! Hence the title. Pretty cool! As for me, I'll be headed to Saskatoon this Friday!

The rest of this week was pretty good too! We've just barely started teaching quite a few new people that I unfortunately won't get to keep teaching (since I head for Saskatoon on Friday) but I'm glad there'll be lots for Elder Nielson to do with his new Trainee!
Also, remember Elder Nielson's Verse of the day? We found a new friend in Africa through it! Him and the guy from Africa started talking and he wanted to talk to his local missionaries, so we sent all his info over to them! It's pretty awesome how much social media can further the work 😄
Weather update: sweater weather! The snow has started melting here in Winkler/Morden and it’ll be pretty warm on my birthday! I'm pretty grateful for that. Since the weather is nice and the transfer is almost over, we figured we had to visit Miami together, so we did that as well.

Lastly, there was a limited time drop of a Magic the Gathering deck that was practically made just for me… So I ordered it, and it's currently being shipped. Here are some pictures! By the way, read the little italicized text at the bottom of some of the cards, it's pretty funny.

That's all for now! It's a great day to be a missionary!
