Week 77 - If you bake 2 lasagnas, and stack them one on top of the other, do you end up with 2 lasagnas stacked on to the other, or just 1 really tall lasagna?

Hey Everyone! (Insert bi-weekly apology for not emailing the prior week)

Life's been pretty good the past couple weeks! My last week in Morden went pretty well. We found a few new people for Elder Nielson to teach with his new Trainee, I got to give a Farewell talk in church, and we moved a new piano into the building! There was a lady that called us out of the blue and asked if she could donate her piano. Since our chapel didn't have one prior to this, we very gratefully accepted.

My new area is pretty good too! The momentum is a bit low; we were actually getting more work done in Morden. But that's ok! We're going to fix that this transfer. This past week we had a kinda cool mini miracle! We had a goal to find 2 friends this week, but Sunday night we were only at 1. But then, 30 minutes before the weekly goals close, someone who signed up online to meet with us responded to our text! We had a short phone call lesson, and set up another lesson for next week 😄

Now back to that heading. This question is a fun one that I asked our district this week, and we had fun discussing it and joking about massive lasagnas. Then, last night, we had a member meal. What was the main? Lasagna. Not just any lasagna. No no no. It was the tallest lasagna I've ever seen in my life. It was easily double, or even triple the height of the lasagna my mom usually makes. This was when we learned the answer to the question. It's one really big lasagna.

After we giggled about this a bit, Sister Smith (the member) was cutting the slices and she didn't quite perceive the size of the slices she was cutting. Before anyone else had a chance to react to the size of the slices, Elder Butler decided to dish my plate with the biggest one. It was painful, but I managed to finish it along with everything else she fed us 😂

(The angle of this picture doesn't quite do the size of the lasagna justice)

I should tell you, it was a full 4 course meal. We started with half an avocado topped with tuna, and a side of shrimp with cocktail sauce. Then we had some soup with garlic bread. The main dish was the massive lasagna. We had a salad after the main dish because that’s how you do it in French culture apparently? And lastly, we had sort of a strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was incredible. But also left me feeling stuffed sick.

Aaaaanyway. Today we went mini golfing as a district 😄

That's all for now! It's a great day to be a missionary!
