Weekly 6 - What Does California Smell Like?

This week has been so busy. As you know, Monday was packed with zone p day stuff. Tuesday was zone conference, which was awesome, Wednesday we drove all day back to Flin Flon, Thursday we did exchanges with the Thompson elders so I drove 4 hours with Elder Johnson to Thompson, stayed there, and drove back to Flin Flon the next morning. Once we got back to Flin Flon it was hard work the rest of Friday-Sunday. Today we finally get some rest! πŸ˜‚

It's been great though. As usual, I'm loving the work. One thing that was crazy about coming back to Flin Flon, all the leaves are either orange or gone! When we left, they were mostly green. They all changed in the span of a week! totally crazy. It's so pretty though! Winter is coming that's for sure. It actually snowed in Flin Flon while we were gone! It's too bad we didn't get to see it, but I guess I should be happy my inevitable fate of freezing to death has been prolonged by the decent weather we've had the past few days. Also, I'm enjoying wearing a "tuque" as they call it. (we call it a beanie back home in the states)

Also, random question, does anyone have any idea what California smells like? I thought I did, until I ran into these at a gas station. I unfortunately was not able to buy it, as we only noticed it on the way out and needed to get on the road, but now I'm so curious, what does it smell like?? We're going back down to Winnipeg again in a couple weeks, so I'll have to get it then.

Lastly, Happy Thanksgiving! For some reason, they celebrate it today here in Canada. Pretty odd, but we'll be having Thanksgiving dinner with one of the families here tonight so that's nice.

That's all from me this week! It's a great day to be a missionary :)

Love, Elder Hays
