Week 39 - Goodbye Steinbach! (Also 9 months o.0)
Legislature of Saskatchewan

Hey everyone!! We got transfer news today, and the transfer will be happening on Friday of this week. I’m really excited for where I’ll be going! More on that after I’ve talked about this week though.

This week has been good! Our friend Tim is finally done with his graveyard shift job, and he plans to start attending church! He’s super awesome, and even though his English isn’t amazing, our best conversations are always with him. Also, the cat visited a couple more times! I’m really going to miss this cat lol. She tends to visit our apartment every few days or so and she kinda just hangs out and keeps us company for a bit before leaving again. It’s pretty awesome. She’s actually here right now as I’m writing this! I’ll include a little video if she doesn’t leave before I’m done.

Also, one of the members invited us over, and their son is super into Pokémon! We talked about Pokémon cards, traded a bunch, and had some epic battles. I traded a couple of my rare cards for his golden Ice Rider Calyrex! Monetary value-wise, he was the one who made a small profit from the trade, but since I have a deck based around Ice Rider Calyrex I say it was easily worth it. The card is in the deck now which is pretty cool! I also got a nice new box to keep all my cards in. It’s so much more organized than it used to be, and it’ll be a lot easier to travel with. I also built a really cool dark type darkrai deck which is so hype. Darkrai has been my favorite legendary Pokémon ever since I saw the Pokémon: Rise of Darkrai movie when I was like 6 or something. The deck is super fun to play with!! Pokémon is fun, and it’s an awesome way to bond with some of the people here and build trust with them! So hopefully in the future they’ll be more willing to help us find people to serve and teach. Oh, oh oh and I forgot to share this last week, but I pulled a super rare "Koridon ex" card from a booster pack last week which is pretty epic. Upgraded value is about $50!

Okokok enough rambling about Pokémon… transfers… I’m going to Regina, Saskatchewan! I’ll be in the “Lewvan” ward, and we’ll be in charge of making videos for the mission facebook page!! Follow that btw @HopeAheadCentralCanada. It’ll be super fun and I’ll be serving with a trio! Usually missionaries serve in pairs, but this transfer I’ll be with 2 other missionaries rather than one! I’m super excited to put my video editing skills to good use. I’m also really excited for who I’ll be around in Regina! There are some missionaries that I’ve served around that I really enjoy serving around that are also in Regina so it’ll be a lot of fun!

Oh also you may have noticed in the title, today is my 9 month mark! Holy cow I cannot believe it’s already been 9 months. It feels like last week I was celebrating 6, and the week before that I had just  arrived in Flin Flon. There’s a lot of bittersweetness to it, I really miss a lot of the friends I’ve made but I’m also really excited for the new ones I’m going to make! That’s all for now. It’s a great day to be a missionary!
