Week 40 - Rollercoaster Weekend

Hey guys! This weekend has been wild and I' going to bitz this email because it's late and I have a headache lol.

SO, Friday evening, we arrived in Regina after a 6-hour drive. When we got to the church where we met all our new companions and what not, there was a group playing ultimate frisbee. Figured why not? So, I loosened my tie and hoped in, and a handful of other missionaries did the same. Super fun. Then we get to the apartment, ABSOLUTE WRECK. The apartment was such a mess it was awful. Also, I discovered I left one of my bags in the trailer. Context: for transfers there's a truck and trailer that holds all the luggage and things. Luckily, the trailer would still be there so I would still be able to retrieve the bag the next morning no problem. Unfortunately, that bag had my pj's. So, I had to sleep on a tiny couch in my white button down and slacks. Got no sleep that night but it's chill, the next morning we got my stuff, cleaned the apartment, talked to a family that was getting baptized the next day, and we attended a different church we got invited to! One of our friends here is the worship leader there and it was pretty cool! It was a very different from what I'm used to, it was basically a gospel rock concert. I wouldn't want to replace our normal Sunday service with it, but I'd definitely be down to go again, especially since it was on Saturday. The next day we attended that baptism I mentioned earlier which was awesome!! It was a Pilipino family of 5 and all of them got baptized. Fun fact about Pilipino culture: they're big on food. I have never seen so much food at a baptism. Not complaining of course, it was delicious. Finally, today! We had a ton of fun! We went disc golfing, played volleyball, spike ball, ultimate frisbee, Pokémon, it was a blast! Also, I am the cat whisperer. Wherever I go, a cat will appear. It is such a blessing 🤣

It's a great day to be a missionary!!
