Week 42 - The solution to all of life's problems
Hey guys!! This week has been super awesome and there's lots to talk about so I'll try not to make this too long.
On Tuesday, we went to a Mexican restaurant that does all you can eat taco Tuesdays with a member. We had an eating contest, and the punishment for the loser is to get shot with an airsoft gun. I ate 15 tacos and have no regrets. But I also lost so I might have regrets once I get shot next week 🤣

On Wednesday we dropped almost all of our friends because they weren't progressing, and on Thursday we had a really nice dinner with a family that just moved in! On Friday we played soccer for our weekly sport night which was very fun and I only got mildly concussed (jk).
On Saturday we had a ward BBQ and we attended another baptism!! His name is Art and he's been taught by the lewvan elders for a while now. He has a girlfriend named Kealy who is a member and he's been going to church with her for about a year! She actually planned his whole baptism which is pretty awesome. For any of my missionary friends who will understand this: she chapter 14nd him 😉😂
Something I forgot to mention last week, our mission goal for baptisms this year was 125. When it was announced, I was kind of disappointed because I wanted to aim higher. Last year's was 100 and I was thinking at least 150 for this year. Well, last week we had a surprise devotional and in short President said "holy cow, yall are baptizing like crazy and at this pace we'll smash the 125 goal like half way through the year. So, the new goal for the year is 175." Pretty hype!! And Regina is leading the mission at like or something 30 I think 💪😤.
Finally, the solution to all life's problems. Something I've forgotten to talk about is our apartment situation. Our apartment is quite small and does not have room for 3 bed frames. So, we've been sleeping with our mattresses on the floor in the living room because that was the only space available. Pretty awful and cramped, but there's a solution! Bunk bed. And we finally got one! Having trouble navigating your cluttered apartment? Bunk bed. Is your morning productivity at an all-time low because your brain can't process anything when your environment is messy? Bunk bed! It's crazy though, the moment we got the Bunk bed and cleaned up the place a bit, boom. I can work again. I'm waking up and studying more effectively than I have in months. Moral of the story? Go clean your room! There's a movie called Limitless about a guy who takes a fancy pill that makes him a super genius. What's the first thing he does? Invest in stocks? Invent something great and world changing? Cure cancer? No. The very first thing he does is clean his messy apartment. That is step one to achieving greatness. When your space is cluttered, your mind will be too. This applies to spiritual things too! If our head is cluttered with confusions and doubts, it's nearly impossible to get things done! That's part of why we need to study and pray regularly to clean our spiritual rooms (aka our brains). It kinda ties into this general conference talk!:

So yeah, there's my 2-minute ramble on why bunk beds are the solution to everything. Some other side notes from the week: I started doing 100 push-ups a day and that was too easy so this week I'm doing 150, I bought a vintage film camera today which is pretty cool and fun to toy with, my cousin Dallin sent a clean 140 track music playlist for me to listen too (and it's flipping amazing tysm), and it's my grandma's birthday today!! Happy birthday grandma!! Love you so much!! That's all!!

It's a great day to be a missionary!
